Soyaki Tofu Fried Rice with Sesame Broccoli

Soyaki Tofu Fried Rice with Sesame Broccoli

This soyaki tofu fried rice is one of my favorite easy vegan weeknight dinners — and it comes together faster than you’d think. The Trader Joe’s frozen vegetable fried rice is the secret shortcut that makes this recipe totally manageable even if you don’t consider yourself a confident cook. Topped with sesame broccoli, sriracha, and crispy marinated tofu, every bite is savory, satisfying, and packed with flavor.

🌿What you’ll need:
@traderjoes Vegetable Fried Rice
* Extra firm tofu
* Teriyaki sauce
* Soy sauce
* Broccoli
* Sesame seeds
* Green onions
* Everything bagel seasoning

🌿How to prepare:
1. Start by cutting your tofu into cubes & marinating it on a mixture of the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce (use your preferred ratio). Set that aside while you prepare your broccoli.
2. For the broccoli, I cut it into equal-sized florets and lightly steamed it. Next, I added it to a frying pan with some sesame seeds, red chili flakes and a touch of garlic salt and cooked it until the sesame seeds became fragrant.
3. Next, cook your tofu in a frying pan with a little bit of oil over medium heat until all of the sides are crispy. Once it’s cooked to your liking, turn the heat to low and pour the leftover marinade over the tofu and toss to coat.
4. Lastly, cook your fried rice according to package instructions (this should take about 5 minutes in a frying pan on medium heat).
5. Plate, top with more sesame seeds, green onions, everything bagel seasoning and enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions:
