I love this vegan saucy fried rice Soyaki tofu& sesame broccoli recipe because it’s super simple yet delicious & the Trader Joe’s frozen bag of fried rice is perfect for making this seemingly complicated dish very quick, easy, and manageable for the average person. Even if you don’t consider yourself a good cook, even if you’re hardly comfortable in the kitchen, I guarantee you can easily this dish. I topped mine with some sriracha & it was divine. What would’ve made this even better is if I were to add some @justegg or tofu scramble into the rice to make it vegan egg/vegetable fried rice. But alas, I was in a hurry to get this photo before the sun went down so, that unfortunately didn’t happen.
🌿What you’ll need:
* @traderjoes Vegetable Fried Rice
* Extra firm tofu
* Teriyaki sauce
* Soy sauce
* Broccoli
* Sesame seeds
* Green onions
* Everything bagel seasoning
🌿How to prepare:
1. Start by cutting your tofu into cubes & marinating it on a mixture of the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce (use your preferred ratio). Set that aside while you prepare your broccoli.
2. For the broccoli, I cut it into equal-sized florets and lightly steamed it. Next, I added it to a frying pan with some sesame seeds, red chili flakes and a touch of garlic salt and cooked it until the sesame seeds became fragrant.
3. Next, cook your tofu in a frying pan with a little bit of oil over medium heat until all of the sides are crispy. Once it’s cooked to your liking, turn the heat to low and pour the leftover marinade over the tofu and toss to coat.
4. Lastly, cook your fried rice according to package instructions (this should take about 5 minutes in a frying pan on medium heat).
5. Plate, top with more sesame seeds, green onions, everything bagel seasoning and enjoy!
